The popular traveling show featured comedy skits, pantomime performances, and clown acts and ran successfully from the post Civil War era until the early 20th century. Artwork features 2 photographs of star comic "James R. Adams - The Clown" with and without his makeup. Poster measures 28 5/8" x 20 5/8" and comes on a plastic-wrapped foamboard backer for stability. Has a few wrinkles and tears, but the sharp colors, graphics, and print show beautifully making this rare vintage ephemera highly collectible.
