.  For the past several decades, this level has been kept, alongside other antique tools, as a decorative wall hanger in our garage.  Now, I am currently in the process of downsizing and removing many of the antique and vintage tools from the wall and will be listing them a piece or two at a time until they are all sold.
For your consideration is this antique wooden horizontal (3) three bubble level, Fig 104, manufactured by the Hall Level & Mfg. Works in Austin, Texas.  The level is made out of wood and weighs approximately 1.10 pounds by itself.  The overall length of the level measures approximately 24.0" long by 2.50" wide and 1-1/8" thick.  This antique wooden level is a wonderful looking vintage and rustic looking carpenter's tool that makes a beautiful visual display.
The wood is solid but does show signs of age and honest use.  The wood surface has scratches, minor chipping and occasional gouges that are seen mainly at the ends and corners of the level from use over the years.  Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the level and for more details about what I have described.
The level's (3) three yellow glass tube level bubbles are intact with no damage and work as designed.  There is an approximate .75" wide by 8.0" long finger groove that has been routered into the wood on both sides of the level for easy and secure handling.
The bubble windows are located on the level's ends and in the center and each contain a single bubble tube.  The two side level bubble tubes run straight across while the center level tube runs horizontal.  You can still see the bubble move freely back and forth inside the liquid filled glass tubes when the level is being used.
Overall, this vintage level is a wonderful looking piece of American ingenuity and craftsmanship that was proudly built in the U.S.A., Austin, Texas.  This level will make a beautiful display alongside anyone's antique tool collection.
