Vintage Canonsburg Pottery Pink Rose, Gold Trimmed Plates, Bowls & Saucers.
This set consists of the following items:
1 - 12" X 8 1/2" Platter
1 - 10" Dinner Plate
1 - 8" Medium Plate
5 - 6" Small Plates
3 - 5 1/2" Saucers
2 - 8" Medium Bowls
6 - 5" Small Bowls
There are 19 total pieces in this set. This set is used, and the gold trim shows wear on some of the plates.  One of the small bowls has a chip on the underside of the edge. One of the small plates has a chip on the top side of the edge, (in the gold trim).  Two of the saucers have small chips on the underside of the edge.  If you need pictures of the chips, please contact me.  The platter, dinner plate, medium plate and 2 medium bowls are marked, on the underside, with the Cannonsburg Pottery Co. stamp. (See picture 9) The small bowls, small plates, and saucers are not marked.
History of Canonsburg Pottery
Canonsburg Pottery is dinnerware produced by a now-defunct company in Pennsylvania. Because new pieces are no longer being produced, collectors must go to private owners or companies that specialize in replacement china.
Origin
The company was founded in 1900 as the Canonsburg China Company by John George. In 1909, the name was changed to Canonsburg Pottery Company.
Location
The company produced its pottery in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, a borough south of Pittsburgh. The town is the former home to a radium refining mill and was once visited by Marie Curie.
Family Ties
W.S. George, uncle to Canonsburg Pottery Co. founder John George, also headed an American china company. Canonsburg was also the location of a W.S. George Pottery Company plant.
Closing
The company remained in the George family until 1975, when it was sold to Angelo Falconi. It closed in 1978.

The tenth  picture shows a close-up of the pink rose in the center of the dinner plate. The eleventh picture shows a close-up of the pink roses on the rim of the dinner plate.
