Description
Only about 5,000 of these were made by Stanley. Rosewood is a very rare wood unlike cherrywhich accounts for about 90% of the early Stanley levels, and mahogany which accounted for
about 9% and the remaining 1% were rosewood.
The rosewood level is 28" long, with brass end caps. 3-1/8" tall, and 1-11/32" wide. The brass
top plate says Stanley Rule and Level Co.- New Britain, Conn U.S.A. and has patent dates of
June 02, 1891 and June 23, 1896.
