  • Condition: Functional, though the full condition of all seals and damper fluid is unknown; air can service is recommended and should be one of the most frequently attended maintenance points for all rear shocks. Testing by hand the lockout works, but its performance with full leverage in actual use is unknown. The external shaft is in very good mechanical condition, free of dings and with just one tiny mark missing coating, which is exceptional for this shock because the Specialized frame it is designed for puts the shaft directly in the path of pebbles/etc grabbed and pitched from the tire. That said, the shaft coating appears to be thinning, probably from inadequate air can maintenance, and the eyelet has numerous cosmetic dings. The air can itself is also near mint. The snugness of the included DU bushings will depend on the condition of your spacers; spacers are not included.

    Meant for a small handful of frames that require a shorter than usual stroke, most notably
    some
    2006-07 Specialized FSR models with the pass-through design where the seat tube splits to accommodate the shock, such as the FSR XC. This can be used for frames that use a normal stroke shock, although doing so will reduce travel.
