    Description

    Earthenware Chinoiserie Large Serving Platter probably early 19th C. 1820/1825.
    Beautiful Staffordshire (presumably) transfer platter, early 19th century, in great condition.
    Scene depicting water buffalo or other bovine animals grazing and drinking in a stream in the foreground, the background a fantastical landscape of tall ruined towers, tree-lined hills and small islands which are occupied by individual houses and temples with curved-eave roofs. The border of the platter is decorated with tropical flowers. An almost magical landscape.
    There are no chips or cracks and the item is in very good condition.
    Measures approx. 19" x 13 1/2"
    Condition is "Used" and selling as is.
