    Elderly Woodworker - Selling Family Heirloom - Cooks Patent Dec 7,1886. 30 inch, 2 porthole, Rosewood & Brass Level. I inherited this from my grandfather, & enjoyed looking at it in my woodshop, all my adult life. I used cheap modern ones to knock around. I'd like to find this an appreciative home, as my heirs are not interested.
    Condition: Straight & useable. Horizontal spirit vial needs to be filled, marked - or replaced. (Old tools are made to be opened & repaired). Solder is evident on both lower end brass corners - probably an expert truing adjustment made by an ancestor. All lettering stamped onto brass - is still easily readable.
    Level can  be enjoyed for its beauty as an artifact as - is, or restored & used. These large levels are the most desirable.
