Please check out my other auctions!! I'm clearing out the warehouse and everything must go!! Excellent starting bids!!Here's a beautiful lot of three vintage Jain carnival glass tumblers. Marigold in color. The smaller tumbler is the "Beaded Panels and Grapes" pattern and measures about 4 1/2" tall. The middle sized tumbler is in the "Beaded Spears" flared pattern and measures 5" tall. The largest tumbler is the "Grapevine and Spikes" variant pattern, and measures 5 1/2" tall. Two of the tumblers are not marked, but the largest one is boldly embossed "JAIN" on its bottom.
Jain carnival glass began production in India in the 1930s to around the 1970s or 80s. Various manufacturers made carnival glass besides Jain; most people just lump them together as many pieces are not marked. I have a vast collection of Jain, including rare pieces and pitcher sets - some patterns are uncatalogued. The late legendary Bob Smith, a well-known tumbler collector, bought several of my Jain tumblers for his own collection.
Overall very good condition for their age with no chips or cracks. Need to be cleaned up a bit. Nice for display!!
NO International shipping.
Good luck and thank you for bidding!!
